Elizabeth Howson, B.E.S., MCIP, RPP has over 45 years
experience with a focus on the development of official plans, secondary plans, intensification studies and other policy documents for municipalities throughout Southern Ontario including communities such as Cobourg, Oakville, Milton, Georgetown, Stouffville, Uxbridge and Markham. Her work goes beyond vision to implementation. Her understanding of the issues related to implementation reflects her experience in the preparation of sustainability guidelines (North Oakville, Stouffville), zoning by-laws, community improvement plans and other similar implementation tools for her municipal clients. Ms. Howson’s extensive experience working with multi-disciplinary teams on a wide range of projects, including over 30 secondary plans where she has acted as project manager/planning lead, is an important factor in the success of her projects. She understands the importance of the integration of all relevant disciplines and the need to find balance among their different approaches.
Lorelei Jones, BES, MCIP, RPP has 39 years
experience in the private sector. Mrs. Jones has extensive experience in working for both public and private sector clients to address sustainable development. She was the coordinator for the Halton Hills Green Development Standards Study and has also been involved in numerous development projects which cover both the whole spectrum from high density infill projects to low rise greenfield developments, that involve approval Official Plan amendments, rezoning, subdivision and site plan approvals and that have included sustainable community principals, addressed municipal green development standards such as in the City of Toronto, and which meet various sustainable rating standards such as Energy Star. She therefore has a good working knowledge of the building practices, procedures and processes faced by the development community in implementing various environmentally focused standards and guidelines. She has also been involved in numerous policy level documents which focus on environmental sustainability such as the King Oak Ridges Moraine Conformity Exercise, the Georgina Official Plan Review and the Taunton North Secondary Plan which both established an Environment First focus.
Angela Sciberras, B.A.A., MCIP, RPP, has over 30 years
experience primarily in the private sector. Ms. Sciberras has experience in working for both public and private sector clients, specializing in land development within municipalities across the Greater Toronto Area including communities such as Toronto, Mississauga, Markham, Richmond Hill, Newmarket, Aurora, and Vaughan. She has gained a wide range of experience in land use planning including subdivisions (residential, industrial), high & mid density residential development, commercial, institutional, cemeteries and small infill projects. Ms. Sciberras often acts as project lead and coordinator to multi-disciplinary teams and provides strategic planning advice to her clients. Ms. Sciberras has presented expert testimony at the Ontario Municipal Board and Assessment Review Board.
